OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

We support the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises – a set of recommendations on responsible business conduct.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are recommendations set out by governments that address responsible business conduct in international markets.

Businesses operating in Australia, as well as Australian businesses operating internationally, are expected to act in accordance with the principles set out in these Guidelines.

About the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

The Guidelines provide a framework for responsible business conduct. They include the topics of disclosure, human rights, employment, environment, anti-corruption, competition and taxation. The Guidelines supplement Australian law and are not legally binding.

The Australian Government and Export Finance Australia are committed to promoting the use of these Guidelines to help achieve positive outcomes in business conduct.

All businesses are strongly encouraged to use these Guidelines as a risk-management tool to ensure compliance.
